Gotham Steel Stackmaster 15-Piece Set: Best Overall

Gotham Steel, of TV infomercial fame, produces a wide range of copper-colored non-stick cookware. This Gotham Steel Stackmaster set is designed specifically to stack, saving you up to 30% more space. I did an in-depth review of the set earlier.

This 15-piece cookware set comes with the following pieces:

  • 8-inch (20 cm) fry pan
  • 10-inch (25 cm) fry pan
  • 2.75-quart (2.6 liters) covered saucepan
  • 3.5-quart (3.3 liters) covered saucepan
  • 3.75-quart (3.55 liters) sauté pan with lid
  • 5-quart (4.73 liters) stockpot with lid
  • 5-piece utensil set
Gotham Steel Stackmaster Pots & Pans Set | Space Saving 15 Piece Stackable Nonstick Cookware Set, Includes Frying Pans, Skillets, Saucepans Stock Pots + 5 Utensils | Induction, Oven & Dishwasher Safe

Even though a 15-piece set sounds quite large, five of those pieces are utensils. So in reality, it’s a reasonably-sized set.

Each pan features aluminum construction with a triple-coated non-stick cooking surface. The non-stick layer is reinforced with ceramic and titanium to deliver ultimate food release.

Gotham Steel claims no oil or butter is needed. While several reviews confirmed that assertion, many used oil and/or butter anyway. I would suggest using a little oil to help.

This cookware does not contain Teflon, so if you’re trying to avoid PTFE, you can safely use these pots and pans. Just be sure to use them on low or medium heat to avoid warping the aluminum body.

When it comes to scratch resistance, though, I recommend using extra caution. Even though Gotham Steel advertises this 15-piece cookware set as safe for metal utensils, many buyers said their pans were scratched or even ruined by metal utensils. Play it safe and use wooden or silicone tools.

This stackable cookware is easy to clean. The non-stick has wonderful food release, so it’s easy to hand wash the pans. These pans are compatible with any type of cooktop and topped my list for the best induction cookware.

They’re technically dishwasher-safe, but the high heat and harsh detergent could damage the coating or the soft aluminum body. Hand washing would be safer.

These stackable pots and pans have a space-saving design. The interchangeable lids are great for efficiency.

There is also a specific stacking order, which can be an advantage. However, some buyers found it inconvenient, especially if they used the middle pot most frequently.

If you want a value set of non-stick pans, this Gotham Steel Stackmaster set is a great choice.

Pros

  • Stackable design
  • Excellent food release
  • Interchangeable lids
  • Stay-cool handles
  • Induction compatible
  • Oven-safe to 500°F (260°C)
  • Easy to clean

Cons

  • Aluminum body is easy to warp
  • Non-stick scratches easily
  • Small pieces may not work on induction

Gotham Steel Stackable Pans Set, 10 Pieces: Best Value Pick

This Gotham Steel Stackable Cookware Set is almost identical to the other Gotham Steel Stackable Cookware set. The major difference is in the number of pieces. Instead of five plastic utensils, this set only comes with two, and it doesn’t have a covered sauté pan.

This is what you get in this 10-piece cookware set:

  • 8-inch (20 cm) fry pan
  • 10-inch (25 cm) fry pan
  • 2.75-quart (2.6 liters) covered saucepan
  • 3.5-quart (3.3 liters) covered saucepan
  • 5-quart (4.73 liters) stockpot with lid
  • Slotted spatula and solid spoon
Gotham Steel Stackable Pots and Pans Stackmaster 10 Piece Cookware Set with Ultra Nonstick Cast Texture Ceramic Coating, Copper

This stackable cookware set has the same non-stick coating applied three times with ceramic and titanium. It has an aluminum body with comfortable stainless steel handles, and it also comes with three interchangeable glass lids.

This set is great for a tiny kitchen due to its space-saving design. It’s oven-safe to 500°F (260°C) and compatible with all stovetops, including induction cooktops.

These stackable pans are advertised as dishwasher-safe, but I recommend washing them by hand. The food release is superb, so you shouldn’t have a hard time with it. The only tricky spot is around the rivets, which aren’t flush.

I would also use wooden or heat-resistant silicone cooking utensils. Even though the pans are advertised as scratch-resistant, metal will scratch and tear up the coating. Buyer reviews confirmed the importance of caution.

This stackable set has a lot of value. I would go with this set over the other Gotham Steel set unless you have your heart set on a sauté pan and several spoons.

But this isn’t a forever set, and you’ll need to realize that going in.

Pros

  • Space-saving design
  • Releases food easily
  • Induction compatible
  • Oven-safe to 500°F (260°C)
  • Comfortable handles
  • Three interchangeable lids
  • Easy to clean
  • Affordable

Cons

  • Scratches easily
  • Rivets are tough to clean

Granitestone Stackmaster 15-Piece Set: Best Large Set

Granitestone might be familiar from the “As Seen on TV” product lines. This Granitestone Stackmaster Set is made to be space-saving and comes with 15 pieces:

  • 8.5-inch (22 cm) fry pan
  • 10-inch (25 cm) skillet with lid
  • 2.75-quart (2.6 liters) covered saucepan
  • 3.5-quart (3.3 liters) covered saucepan
  • 3.5-quart (3.3 liters) fry basket
  • 5.35-quart (5 liters) stockpot with lid
Granitestone Original Stackmaster 15 Piece Nonstick Cookware Set, Scratch Resistant Kitchenware, Pots and Pans, Induction-Compatible

These stackable pans are great for small spaces. The tempered glass lids are flat and also stack to save space.

Granitestone stackable cookware features aluminum construction with a triple-coating Granitestone non-stick finish for superior food release and a better cooking experience.

This coating is scratch-resistant for extra durability, but I would still avoid metal cooking tools.

This set is oven-safe up to 500°F (260°C), so it’s great for stovetop-to-oven dishes. It’s also compatible with induction cooktops.

These stackable pots and pans are dishwasher-safe, but the non-stick makes them easy to wash by hand, as well. For a longer lifespan, I recommend hand washing them.

Customers found this cookware set to perform well and prevent sticking effectively. They said food slides right out.

The only complaint was in regard to the handles. Some found them uncomfortable, and many said they don’t stay cool. This was more common with the lid handles. I would use a pot holder when handling them to be safe.

In terms of performance and durability, I would compare these Granitestone pans to the Gotham Steel stackable cookware sets. They use similar materials, have similar specifications, and are at a similar price point.

The major difference is in their appearance, which boils down to personal preference.

Pros

  • Space-saving design
  • Triple non-stick coating
  • Induction compatible
  • Safe for oven temps up to 500°F (260°C)
  • Easy to clean
  • Good value

Cons

  • Complaints about the handles

Calphalon Premier Space-Saving Cookware Set, Non-Stick: Best Splurge Pick

Calphalon is known for premium hard-anodized aluminum cookware. In fact, I chose Calphalon as the top hard-anodized cookware set. This Calphalon Premier Space-Saving Cookware Set is no different, bringing quality and convenience to small kitchens everywhere. This 15-piece cookware set comes with the following:

  • 8-inch (20 cm) & 10-inch (25 cm) & 12-inch (30 cm) frying pans
  • 2.5-quart (2.37 liters) covered saucepan
  • 3.5-quart (3.3 liters) covered saucepan
  • 3-quart (2.84 liters) sauté pan with lid
  • 4.5-quart (4.26 liters) soup pan with lid
  • 5-quart (4.73 liters) Sauteuse with lid
  • 8-quart (7.6 liters) covered stockpot
Calphalon 15-Piece Pots and Pans Set, Stackable Nonstick Kitchen Cookware with Stay-Cool Stainless Steel Handles, Black

This Calphalon cookware set is made from hard-anodized aluminum. The anodization process makes the aluminum more durable, scratch-resistant, and non-reactive. Calphalon applies a triple-layer non-stick coating to effortlessly release food.

The space-saving design frees up 30% more space compared with non-stacking cookware. The flat lids are made of tempered glass and can stack for easy storage.

As far as oven use, these stackable pots and pans are safe for temperatures up to 450°F (230°C). You can use them on any electric, gas, or halogen stovetop. But they aren’t compatible with induction cooktops.

The long stainless steel stay-cool handles are comfortable and sturdy.

When it comes time to clean up, you can put these Calphalon pans in the dishwasher. However, many customers found these pans so easy to clean by hand, you may not need to.

Buyers raved about the performance of the Calphalon stackable pots and pans. This cookware set is heavier weight, due to the hard-anodized aluminum. But that heft is part of the reason these pans hold up so well over time.

When compared with other space-saving cookware sets, this Calphalon set is more of an investment. However, you’ll also get better performance and a longer lifespan than with other cookware sets. Whether that trade-off is worth it is up to you.

Pros

  • Hard-anodized aluminum construction
  • Durable, sturdy
  • Scratch-resistant
  • Non-stick
  • Oven-safe to 450°F (230°C)
  • Dishwasher-safe; easy to clean

Cons

  • Pricey
  • Not induction-compatible
  • Heavy

Calphalon Premier Space-Saving Cookware Set, Stainless Steel: Best Stainless Steel Cookware Set

This Calphalon Premier Space-Saving Cookware Set is another Calphalon cookware set, but this one uses different materials. Instead of non-stick, this set features tri-ply stainless steel construction. Here is what’s included in this 10-piece cookware set:

  • 8-inch (20 cm) & 10-inch (25 cm) fry pans
  • 2.5-quart (2.37 liters) covered saucepan
  • 3.5-quart (3.3 liters) covered saucepan
  • 3-quart (2.84 liters) sauté pan with lid
  • 6-quart (7.6 liters) covered stockpot
Calphalon Premier Space-Saving Stainless Steel Pots and Pans, 10-Piece Cookware Set

The pans have two layers of stainless steel surrounding an aluminum core. This tri-ply stainless steel construction means these pots heat up quickly and evenly, as well as hold in the heat for a long time.

It also helps give durability and scratch resistance to these pans, which is important if you’re going to be stacking them.

Speaking of, this set is easy to store and saves up to 30% more space than non-sticking pots and pans. The flat tempered glass lids and cookware pieces stack together, which makes them easy to store.

This set is compatible with all cooktops, including induction. It’s oven-safe to 450°F (230°C), and it’s metal utensil-safe.

When it comes to cleaning, you can put these stackable pans in the dishwasher. These are stainless steel, not non-stick, so you might have more problems with food sticking to the fry pans. However, proper use can help prevent some of that.

Be sure to preheat your stainless steel pans before adding oil or butter. Add food after the oil or butter, and avoid cooking on too high of heat. Cook with low or medium heat.

This set is pricier than some of the other cookware on the list. However, it has superior durability and versatility. It also has some of the best scratch resistance of all the cooking pots listed.

The bottom line? These Calphalon pans are the best stackable stainless steel cookware.

Pros

  • Sturdy tri-ply stainless steel body
  • Handles stay cool
  • Oven-safe to 450°F (230°C)
  • Dishwasher-safe
  • Metal-utensil safe
  • Induction-compatible
  • Tempered glass lids

Cons

  • More prone to sticking
  • Pricey

Stanley Base Camp Cook Set for 4 | 21 Pcs Nesting Cookware Made from Stainless Steel & BPA Free Material | Incl Pot, lid, Cutting Board, Spatula, Plates, Spoons, Forks, Bowls, Dish Rack, Trivet

Obviously, many of these items are not actual cookware but rather serveware. But if you’re camping, stackable pans and dishes are essential. (If you want a single pan for camping, check out my guide on the best backpacking frying pan.)

The pieces are manufactured with 18/8 stainless steel for a strong, scratch-proof, and rustproof material. There is no seasoning or other maintenance required, except washing, of course.

The set is easy to clean and dishwasher-safe for convenience. Hand washing is as simple as soap and water.

Customers found the frying pan easy to use. They were pleased with the cooking performance and thick bottom for even heating. It is heavy but durable. It’s best for car camping and not backpacking.

Some people found the plates to be too small. Of course, the trade-off for storage space is, in this case, the size of the plates. But they’re usable. Also, there were a few isolated reports of the handle falling off.

If you’d like a stackable set of cooking pans and serveware for camping, this Stanley cooking set will serve you well.

Pros

  • Great for camping
  • Stackable set, space-saving
  • Even heating
  • Stainless steel, durable construction
  • Bungee cord for secure storage
  • Dishwasher-safe
  • Affordable

Cons

  • Reports of handle coming off
  • Extra small plates
  • Heavy

T-Fal Stackable Cookware Set: Best Small Set

T-fal offers affordable, reliable Teflon non-stick cookware. This set is no different, except it’s made to be stackable. This set is smaller than the other cookware on my list, with the entire set containing just five pieces:

  • 9.5-inch (24 cm) frying pan
  • 12-inch (30 cm) frying pan with pour spouts
  • 11-inch (28 cm) deep sauté pan
  • Metal fry basket
  • Silicone splatter screen
T-fal All In One Stackable 5 Pcs Pan Set, Cookware Set, Titanium Nonstick, Multi-Functional, Black

The three pans are designed to save up to 45% more space than non-stacking cookware. The pans all have the Thermo spot indicator that turns red when the pans are sufficiently heated.

The body of this T-fal cookware is aluminum with a non-stick coating that’s reinforced with titanium for extra scratch resistance and durability.

The comfortable silicone handles are oven-safe up to 400°F (200°C). These stackable pans are also induction-compatible.

The double-side spouts make for easy pouring. The clean-up is super easy with the superior food release.

Customers enjoyed using these stackable pans. They liked the easy cleaning, the even heat distribution, and the excellent non-stick properties. One reviewer said the handles got hot, but that was an isolated report.

While these pans are not as durable as some of the other sets, they’ll work wonderfully while they last. Plus, at such an affordable price, you’ll get a lot of value out of this T-fal cookware 5-piece set.

Pros

  • Save even more space, up to 45% more
  • Thermo spot indicator
  • Even heating
  • Excellent non-stick properties
  • Induction-compatible
  • Dishwasher-safe, easy to clean
  • Pour spouts
  • Affordable

Cons

  • No lids included

GreenPan Stackable Cookware Set: Best Ceramic Non-Stick Set

GreenPan has a wide range of ceramic non-stick cookware, but they also offer this set designed to save space and make life easier. The GreenPan Stackable Cookware Set comes with 11 pieces:

  • 10-inch (25 cm) fry pan
  • 11-inch (28) round grill pan
  • 12.5-inch (32 cm) frying pan with lid
  • 6-quart (5.7 liters) saucepan
  • 3.2-quart (3 liters) saucepan
  • 6-quart (5.7 liters) stockpot
  • Foldable stainless steel steamer
  • 3 pan protectors
GreenPan Levels Stackable Hard Anodized Healthy Ceramic Nonstick 11 Piece Cookware Pots and Pans Set, PFAS-Free, Dishwasher Safe, Black

Like the Calphalon Premier set, these GreenPan pots and pans have a body of hard-anodized aluminum. That makes this set more durable and resistant to scratching and leeching into food.

The cookware is covered in GreenPan’s Thermolon Diamond Advanced healthy ceramic non-stick coating. This protective layer is proprietary, but it is Teflon-free and infused with diamond for extra heat conductivity and durability.

The handles are covered in heat-resistant silicone and are comfortable to handle. They’re also oven-safe up to 400°F (200°C). These pans are not induction ready, but they work with electric, gas, and halogen stovetops.

While the flat lids have draining holes and save storage space, they also have some drawbacks. First, they have sharp edges that could either damage the non-stick or fingers. The lid handles also get extremely hot. Oven mitts aren’t optional when lifting the lid.

With that being said, many customers were quite happy with the non-stick performance of these stackable pans. They liked the ease of cleaning and the durability.

If you want stackable pots and pans and the lids aren’t super important to you, this GreenPan cookware set is your best bet.

Pros

  • Stackable to save kitchen space
  • Thermolon non-stick coating
  • Durable hard-anodized construction
  • Straining lids
  • Comfortable stay-cool handles
  • Oven-safe to 400°F (200°C)

Cons

  • Not induction compatible
  • Lids have sharp edges & get hot

Stackable Pots and Pans Buying Guide

If you’re considering the best stackable cookware sets, you must consider a few things.

For one, you want cookware with a durable surface. Whether that’s non-stick, stainless steel, or hard-anodized aluminum, the surface must withstand stacking without flaking, scratching, or being damaged.

Secondly, you’ll also want cookware that is easy to clean. Having stuck-on food debris is the last thing you want, especially when stacking cookware.

Lastly, you want cookware that will, in fact, save space. Some sets are stored in two stacks, whereas others are stored in one stack.

If stackable cookware isn’t an option for you, or if you want to provide extra scratch protection, you can purchase pan protectors, like these. Pan protectors will prevent most cookware from getting scratched due to storage.

They’re a great alternative or added option for storing cookware.
